The Head of Subservicing Oversight will monitor and manage third-party mortgage subservicers to optimize performance and ensure compliance with regulatory, investor, and agency guidelines.
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
- Vendor Management: Serve as Primary Point of Contact and Oversee the performance of subservicers to ensure they meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, often through dashboards and performance scorecards, to evaluate service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and deliver detailed reports to senior management on performance, risk, and compliance issues.
- Compliance and Risk: Monitor Subservicer and Internal Testing to ensure compliance with State, Federal, Investor, and Agency guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance service workflows and customer experience
- Delinquency and Default Management: Provide oversight of default-related activities managed by the subservicer, such as collections, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or breaches of service level agreements or guidelines identified through monitoring and audits.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related experience.
- 15 years of mortgage servicing experience to include responsible risk management and strategic decision-making and ability to manage complex projects and initiatives
- Minimum of 5 years of Mortgage Default Experience
- Minimum of 5 Years of Mortgage Subservicing Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership, consulting, and communication skills, including the ability to lead direct and indirect reports and influence all levels within the organization
- Excellent negotiation skills and highly collaborative planning ability, excellent diplomacy, tact, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to think critically and strategically and drive change; capability of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong quantitative, governance, and analytical abilities
- Ability to solve complex problems and drive structure through ambiguity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to provide effective challenge to senior management and cross functional leadership
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office technologies (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
- Position can also be in Greenville, SC
