THIS POSITION IS 3RD SHIFT - FRIDAY THRU TUESDAY 10PM-6AM
THIS POSITION CAN BE 100% REMOTE WITHIN THE TRUIST FOOTPRINT
Responsibilities-
Manage Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Installation of patches and hotfixes.
Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives.
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes, refreshing lower environments.
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement and designs.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
2. Five to seven years of experience in software development or a related field
3. Five to seven years of experience in database technologies
4. Five to seven years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Skills
Experience with Oracle RAC systems, Exadata is a plus
Very large multi-terabyte databases
5+ years Oracle administration experience
Strong working knowledge of Stored Procedures, Triggers, DTS Packages, DBA tasks, and PL/SQL
Basic APEX knowledge
Perform backup and recovery procedures using RMAN
SQL Server experience is a plus
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for Oracle
Experience working with AIX/RHEL operating systems
Experience writing Unix shell scripts for maintenance activities
Excellent written and verbal communication
Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality
Ability to organize and plan work independently
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
Strong operational knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager
As a member of DBA team, participate in on-call rotation providing 24X7 on weekly basis
Perl exposure (nice to have)
Oracle certifications a plus
