Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Services Associate to join our growing team. This is a crucial internal support role where you will assist lead advisors and clients, playing a key part in the efficient delivery of our financial planning services. This position is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment and has the potential to develop into a lead financial planner role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Client Service: Provide exceptional client service by responding to inquiries, preparing reports, and proactively addressing client needs.
- Financial Planning: Assist lead advisors in creating comprehensive financial plans, including data gathering, analysis, and plan documentation.
- Investment Management: Ensure client assets are aligned with their financial plan, risk tolerance, and goals.
- Trading and Cash Management: Execute trades as directed by lead advisors, monitor portfolios for rebalancing, and manage client cash flow.
- Support Lead Advisors: Prepare for client meetings, summarize key financial data, and follow up on action items.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Coordination: Collaborate with clients' other professionals, such as attorneys and CPAs, to provide holistic financial solutions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Financial Planning.
- 2 years of experience in a customer service-related role.
- Series 65 License (or the ability to obtain it within two months of starting).
- Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated and detail-oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly Valued
- Started or completed coursework toward the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation.
- Previous work experience in the financial services field.
- Graduate degree in Finance or Financial Planning.
Compensation & Benefits
The initial salary for this position is $55,000 - $75,000, based on experience and fit. This is not a commission-based role. We offer substantial compensation incentives based on length of service, quality of client service, and firm profitability.
