Field Service Engineer – Fastener Manufacturing Equipment
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Service Engineer to support our customers across the United States. In this role, you will be the face of our company on-site, responsible for the installation, training, and troubleshooting of fastener manufacturing equipment. Our equipment includes, but is not limited to, high-speed vision sorting machines, nut tappers, drilling machines, pointing machines, and washer assembly machines. Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and commission fastener manufacturing equipment at customer facilities
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff on proper equipment operation, setup, and routine maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, on-site and remotely
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance
- Operate a forklift to move, load, and position equipment
- Document service visits, findings, and recommendations
- Build strong relationships with customers and communicate feedback to internal teams
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with hands-on mechanical experience (preferred)
- Experience in the fastener industry (preferred)
- Bachelor’s or technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification is a plus; on-site certification is available
Schedule & Travel
- Typically 8-hour workdays, Monday through Friday; hours may vary as job requirements dictate
- Travel required, primarily within the United States, with customers located from New York to California

Salary : $69,000 - $80,000
