Large Lathe Operator

Our team specializes in repairing and producing remanufactured, aftermarket, and OEM hydraulic units and components that keep industries running—including paper mills, sawmills, steel plants, recycling facilities, oil & gas operations, and mobile equipment such as construction, utility, mining, agricultural, and marine machinery.

Compensation: $35– $40 per hour (Direct Hire)
Schedule: Swing shift, 3:00 pm – 11 pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up manual lathes and mills to machine cylinders and components with tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure parts meet precise specifications.
• Machine a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum bronze, and cast iron.
• Inspect finished workpieces for accuracy and quality.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with other machinists and welders to meet production goals.
• Perform additional machining tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience operating manual mills and lathes (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and precision machining skills.
• Knowledge of Automotive/construction is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally climb ladders.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to adapt and learn new techniques.
