Key Responsibilities
- Monitor automated production equipment during operation.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve simple mechanical and operational issues.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components as needed.
- Respond to machine alarms by following established procedures and escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform machine changeovers and adjustments according to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Work with maintenance and production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use common hand tools and basic measuring devices.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and equipment manuals.
- Willingness to learn automated equipment operation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Experience
- Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment.
- Mechanical maintenance or machine operation experience.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing environment requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs.
