Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from surface preparation to detailed finishing work, contributing to the transformation of spaces with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, conventional spray painting, and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
• Perform structural painting on building frameworks, stucco surfaces, masonry, and fixtures during renovation or restoration projects.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection, safety harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding, and following all safety protocols.
• Conduct quality checks through visual color comparison and surface inspection to ensure consistent color matching and finish quality.
• Assist with construction estimating by assessing material needs and project scope for accurate planning.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project tasks seamlessly.
• Support maintenance activities on existing structures by performing touch-ups or full surface overhauls as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction painting including residential, commercial, industrial, or renovation projects.
• Familiarity with construction site procedures, safety regulations, and the use of scaffolding or ladders for elevated work.
• Hands-on knowledge of surface preparation techniques such as sanding, scraping, plastering, caulking, and priming.
• Skilled in applying various coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray), and conventional spray equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes accurately.
• Experience with specialty coatings such as industrial paints or restoration finishes is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently.
• Knowledge of carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry basics like stucco work or masonry repairs is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to all safety protocols related to respiratory protection and fall prevention measures.
