This is a contract, remote role for an Ab Initio Developer. The Ab Initio Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting data workflows, ETL processes, and data pipelines using Ab Initio tools. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, optimizing workflows for performance, troubleshooting, and ensuring data security and scalability within the systems.
- Proficiency in Ab Initio tools, including Graphical Development Environment (GDE) and Conduct>It.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with database technologies like SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server and proficiency in creating and optimizing complex queries.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and data integration best practices.
- Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting data workflows, and ensuring system scalability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in industries with complex data environments, such as finance, healthcare, or retail, is a plus.
