What you'll be doing:
We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Staff Accountant to support our finance and operations team. This role blends accounting, finance, and operations – perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and wants to make a real impact in a growing organization.
You’ll oversee day-to-day accounting functions, manage financial reporting cycles, support forecasting and analysis, and ensure operational excellence across HR and vendor processes. More specifically:
- Oversee billing, invoicing, and collections to maintain accurate and predictable cash flow
- Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses for accurate reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly closes, financial statements, and supporting schedules
- Review contracts for proper revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate tax filings and liaise with outsourced tax accounting firm
- Maintain TrueSpace Fund reconciliations, forecasts, and UCC filings
- Administer benefits programs, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Support SOC 2 compliance and internal control documentation
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and performance oversight
To be a great fit for this role, you'll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 6–8 years of accounting experience (minimum 5 years in payroll and A/R management)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger principles
- Experience with QuickBooks, Stripe, and Bill.com preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Managerial accounting expertise
