About the Role:
We're hiring a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead day to day warehouse operations for a high performing wholesale construction & electrical supply distribution branch in Ogden. This is a strong opportunity for an operations-minded leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and taking ownership of warehouse performance.
This person will play a key role in helping the branch fully optimize a newly implemented proprietary Warehouse Management System while also driving efficiency across warehouse flow, organization, equipment oversight, and delivery route coordination. The right hire will be patient, resourceful, tech-savvy, and excited to improve how the operation runs.
Compensation potential: Annual Base will be $75k-$80k per year, but annual profit sharing incentives can raise total income to well above the 6-figure range comprehensive benefits. Annual profit sharing incentive is based upon company & personal performance - historically can range 25%-75% of base income.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead day to day warehouse operations with a focus on safety, organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Learn and become the internal expert on a newly implemented proprietary Warehouse Management System.
- Identify bugs, gaps, and workflow issues within the system, while helping create practical workarounds and process improvements.
- Oversee warehouse layout, inventory flow, receiving, shipping, and overall operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and optimize delivery routes and transportation logistics.
- Help oversee forklift and warehouse equipment maintenance needs.
- Lead and support a small team that currently includes a Shipping Lead and Receiving Lead.
- Build process discipline and operational consistency as the branch continues to scale and improve performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-10 years of experience leading warehouse, operations, logistics, or distribution teams.
- Forklift Certification, OSHA, LSS Green/Black belt certs strongly desired.
- Strong organizational and process improvement skills.
- Comfortable learning new WMS technology and adapting to proprietary systems.
- Patient and solutions-oriented, especially when working through software issues or operational inefficiencies.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to step in, problem solve and improve day to day execution (overseeing shipping and receiving Team Leads Associates).
- Experience in electrical distribution or wholesale construction supply distribution is helpful, but not required.
- Strong background in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, inventory control, route optimization, or related areas is highly relevant.
