As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing professional dental hygiene services to patients under the supervision of a licensed dentist. Your primary duties will include performing dental cleanings, scaling and root planing procedures, and applying fluoride treatments.

You will also conduct oral health assessments, take dental x-rays, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Additionally, you will assist the dentist during dental procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations to assess patients' oral health
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary
• Conduct scaling and root planing procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Take dental x-rays and develop them for diagnostic purposes
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral health advice
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings or extractions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with other members of the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and attend continuing education courses as required
  
  

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program and possession of a valid dental hygiene license
• Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, techniques, and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and conducting oral health assessments
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Commitment to maintaining infection control and sterilization standards in the dental office
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development activities

• M, T, Th 8:30-5
• F 8-1
• Wednesdays Off
