What You'll Do as the Commercial Project Manager:
- Lead commercial and multifamily projects from preconstruction through final delivery
- Build detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and scope to support healthy project margins
- Develop and adjust product layouts and project drawings using CAD tools
- Review plans, quantities, and specifications to confirm pricing accuracy and project feasibility
- Price change orders and scope revisions as project needs evolve
- Coordinate with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to keep work moving on schedule
- Visit job sites as needed to monitor progress, address issues, and support successful execution
- Create and manage schedule of values, monthly requisitions, invoicing, and milestone tracking
- Partner with sales and operations teams to align estimates, project scope, and client expectations
- Offer practical value engineering input to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support project success
Must-Haves as the Commercial Project Manager:
- 3 years of experience in construction, estimating, project management, or a related field
- Experience supporting commercial and/or multifamily construction projects
- Strong math, takeoff, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of CAD software for design, layout, or drawing revisions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with a professional and dependable approach
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts while maintaining deadlines and quality standards
- Valid driver's license if driving for work is required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Project Manager:
- Experience preparing quotes and estimates in a construction environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Oracle
- Background working with specialty products, design coordination, or value engineering
- Experience managing billing documents, requisitions, and revenue-related project reporting
