Trueline’s client, a respected multi-disciplinary design firm with deep roots in architecture and engineering, is seeking a Project Architect to join their Rochester, NY office. This is a hands-on, in-office role for a licensed architect who thrives at the intersection of design and project leadership.
What You’ll Do as the Project Architect:
Lead technical design development and production for multi-disciplinary projects
Coordinate closely with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
Review drawings for code compliance and technical accuracy before submission
Provide on-site construction administration including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field observations
Mentor junior staff and guide team collaboration throughout the design process
Must-Haves as the Project Architect:
Active NYS Registered Architect (RA) license
6 years of architectural experience with strong technical and documentation skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and NYS Energy Code software
Experience balancing drawing production with project management responsibilities
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
Nice-to-Haves as the Project Architect:
Experience with civic, institutional, or transportation-related projects
Prior mentorship or supervisory experience
Familiarity with permitting processes and public agency coordination
