Trueline's client, a leader in materials production, is seeking a Plant Operator to join their team in Limerick, ME. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with mechanical know-how, a commitment to safety, and a passion for running production smoothly and efficiently. You'll play a key part in keeping operations running on time and on spec in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
What You'll Do as the Plant Operator:Oversee day-to-day operations of the asphalt plant, ensuring consistent, high-quality output
Monitor equipment performance and handle routine maintenance and minor repairs
Coordinate order processing and support customer service interactions onsite
Track and manage inventory, including fuel and other materials
Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, or equipment issues immediately
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, with extended standing, lifting, and physical activity
Support plant upkeep and follow all safety procedures and operational protocols
Take on additional duties as assigned to keep operations smooth and productive
At least 2 years of experience operating an asphalt or similar plant
Strong mechanical skills, with ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders or catwalks
Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer literacy and communication skills
Must pass a physical and drug screening
Welding or cutting experience
Previous customer-facing experience in a production or industrial environment
Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems
