Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Sponsored Repo to support front-to-back trade lifecycle initiatives, regulatory reporting, and system enhancements within capital markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements for Sponsored Repo transactions and related financing products.
- Work closely with traders, treasury teams, risk, and operations to understand repo workflows including:
- Trade capture
- Collateral allocation & optimization
- Margining & settlement
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams.
- Support system implementation and enhancements for repo platforms and clearing solutions (e.g., triparty agents, CCP clearing).
- Perform data analysis on repo trades, collateral, and funding metrics.
- Assist in regulatory reporting (e.g., SFTR, liquidity ratios like LCR/NSFR).
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate system outputs.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities in financing workflows.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as custodians and clearing houses.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of:
- Sponsored Repo / Sponsored Access models
- Securities lending & borrowing
- Collateral management
- Requirement gathering & documentation (BRD, FRD, user stories)
- Process mapping (As-Is / To-Be workflows)
- Strong stakeholder communication
Technical Skills
- SQL / Excel for data analysis
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Calypso, Murex, Broadridge, or similar)
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
