Shift is Saturday and Sunday overnights. Extra hours as needed and fill ins if you are available.
Job Overview:
$18/ hour starting , but may consider more with experience. Must pass background check, have drivers license, and reliable transportation. Seeking a Care Giver/ Direct Support Professional Immediately. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide care and support for 2 wonderful and kind individuals in the West Seymour area. The ideal candidate will be caring, considerate, good hearted, reliable, and have a reliable vehicle. The ideal candidate we are looking for will be available to cover shifts Saturday and Sunday overnights. We also need someone to help if current staff calls off last minute. Duties:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as running errands, going to appointment, etc.
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of individual information
Experience:
- Previous experience in social work, assisted living, or as a community based DSP is a plus!
- Knowledge of care and behavior management techniques is a plus
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility challenges
- Familiarity with medical systems and documentation practices
