Turn great stories into social content that connects.
We’re searching for a Temporary Social Media Coordinator.
About the Role
Are you a social media pro who loves turning a strong content plan into engaging, on-brand experiences? We’re looking for a hands-on Temporary Social Media Coordinator to support our clients Digital Platforms Team on a part-time contract through December 24, 2026.
This is a hybrid opportunity for candidates who live in Minnesota, working approximately 10–15 hours per week at a rate of $30–$40/hour.
You’ll take the lead on executing an established social content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn—creating, scheduling, and publishing content while keeping everything moving through approvals. You’ll also jump in when timely opportunities arise, from industry events and company announcements to PR moments that need a quick social response.
What You’ll Do
- Create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, maintaining an established cadence of approximately 3–5 posts per week, per platform.
- Bring content to life through engaging copy, graphics, and video.
- Adapt core content—such as blogs, caregiver stories, campaigns, and brand assets—into platform-specific formats and captions.
- Manage content through the existing approval process and proactively flag anything that could put the calendar at risk.
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions daily, alerting the team to important opportunities for response or engagement.
- Keep the social content calendar organized and current, including status updates, upcoming opportunities, and newsworthy dates.
- Support recruitment marketing, caregiver storytelling, brand campaigns, observances, holidays, and conference/event content.
- Provide real-time or near-real-time social coverage for conferences, company events, market launches, community events, and other timely moments.
- Amplify earned media, press mentions, awards, and executive quotes using approved messaging.
- Turn around short-notice PR and event content—often same day or next business day.
- Pull basic monthly reporting, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and top-performing posts.
- Provide clear handoff notes at the end of the engagement covering calendar status, open items, and recommendations for next steps.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience creating and publishing social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- A portfolio or samples of social media work that demonstrate your ability to create compelling, platform-appropriate content.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt messaging and tone across channels.
- Creative capabilities across graphics and video, with experience using tools such as Canva and Microsoft Clipchamp.
- Experience with social publishing and scheduling tools; this team uses Sprout Social.
- Comfort working from an established content calendar and brand voice/style guide.
- Strong organization and attention to detail—you know how to keep multiple posts, stakeholders, deadlines, and approvals moving.
- The ability to work independently, take initiative, and pivot quickly when priorities change.
- A collaborative communication style and comfort partnering across Marketing, People & Culture, Communications/PR, and other teams.
- Experience monitoring and reporting on basic social performance metrics.
- Must live in Minnesota and be able to work in a hybrid environment.
Success in this role means keeping the content calendar on track, responding quickly to ad hoc needs, and helping drive directional growth in engagement and reach throughout the engagement.
