Mid-Level Backend Engineer / Integrations

At True Path Leads, we're building the next generation of performance marketing infrastructure. Our platform processes millions of events daily and integrates with a wide ecosystem of external partners. We are looking for a Mid-level Backend Engineer to join our Los Angeles office and help build and maintain integrations with third-party services, process data, and deliver flexible reporting capabilities for our platform.

Python 3 (FastAPI) · SQL (MySQL, ClickHouse) · Kafka · AWS (EKS)

• Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party services (REST, Python3, partner APIs).
• Build backend services for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Implement custom reporting logic and data aggregation pipelines.
• Work with ClickHouse and MySQL to support analytical queries and reporting use cases.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver data for dashboards and reports.
• Ensure reliability and fault tolerance of integrations (timeouts, retries, idempotency).
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.

• 3–6 years of backend development experience (Python preferred).
• Strong experience working with external APIs (integration patterns, error handling, rate limits).
• Solid SQL skills (joins, aggregations, performance basics).
• Experience building REST APIs and working with JSON-based data flows.
• Understanding of asynchronous processing and event-driven systems (Kafka is a plus).
• Familiarity with data processing concepts (ETL/ELT, data validation, transformations).
• Basic understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.

• Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases.
• Experience building reporting systems or dashboards.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Experience in performance marketing, lead generation, or affiliate platforms.
