Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs, ensuring compliance with state healthcare regulations and educational standards
- Provide hands-on clinical staff training in various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and pediatric care environments
- Assess student performance through evaluations, exams, and practical demonstrations, providing constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, student records, and training logs in accordance with HIPAA and health regulation policies
- Stay current with updates in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and adult learning methodologies to enhance instructional content
- Lead precepting activities for students during clinical rotations, fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes professional growth
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure training aligns with hospital experience requirements and nursing leadership expectations
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license with significant long term care experience
- Demonstrated expertise in nursing home care, home health care, or similar specialties
- Proven track record in clinical staff training, adult education, or teaching CNA roles with strong knowledge of health regulation policies and medical documentation practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for creating instructional materials and maintaining records
- In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills combined with team leadership abilities to effectively mentor students and coordinate training activities
- Prior experience in precepting or clinical instruction within nursing education programs is highly desirable
Experience Required
- One full year in a long term care setting within the last five years
