Position Overview
The Lawn Care Team Member is responsible for performing essential lawn maintenance services while working as part of a professional landscaping crew. This role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork.
This position is designed as an entry-to-mid level role within the Lawn Care Team, with opportunities to advance into roles in the Landscape Team or Maintenance Team.
Responsibilities
- Mowing residential and commercial properties
- String trimming, edging, and blowing off surfaces
- Performing seasonal cleanups (spring and fall)
- Mulch installation and bed maintenance support
- Basic shrub trimming and pruning
- Loading, unloading, and transporting equipment
- Maintaining lawn care equipment and trucks
- Following daily route schedules efficiently
- Communicating with crew leaders and supervisors
- Maintaining clean and professional job sites
- Assisting with property maintenance operations during winter months
- Supporting landscape installation crews when needed
QualificationsRequired
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license (preferred, but can be flexible depending on role structure)
- Ability to follow directions and work within a team
Preferred
- Prior lawn care or landscaping experience
- Familiarity with commercial mowing equipment
- Interest in long-term career growth within landscaping or trades
- Mechanical awareness or equipment operating experience
