What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Inspector position at True North Hotel Group Inc?
True North Hotel Group, an award-winning management and development company, is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team at Holiday Inn Express in Hays, KS. We offer awesome benefits and a great family culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect guest rooms, public and pool areas after being cleaned by housekeeping staff to ensure quality standards.
- Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning and update status of departing guest rooms.
- Inventory of supply closets.
- Assist with monthly linen order.
- Walk all vacant ready rooms daily.
- Performs room attendant duties and responsibilities when necessary.
- Go into checkout rooms still in house daily at 12 noon following Huddle.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts of housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry.
- Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the front desk.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/work boards.
- Communicate issues to next shift.
- Complete required paperwork in a timely manager.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School GED or Equivalent
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience
