Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with completing registration forms accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to facilitate seamless billing processes
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient details, and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic flow
- Collect co-pays and explain payment procedures clearly to ensure transparency and compliance
- Maintain organized patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Answer incoming calls promptly, address patient inquiries professionally, and direct calls to appropriate departments
- Support medical staff by providing administrative assistance such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
Experience & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience working in a medical office, healthcare setting or customer service is highly preferred
- Office experience that demonstrates proficiency with computer systems, electronic health records (EHR) especially Epic experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing patient information and scheduling tasks
