Overview
TrueNorth Consulting LLC is seeking a qualified Catholic Priest to serve as a military chaplain under contract with the U.S. Army Directorate of Pastoral Care. This role provides sacramental, pastoral, and liturgical support to incarcerated service members and detainees within a correctional ministry setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Celebrate Sunday and weekday Masses and Holy Days of Obligation
- Administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation and provide individual spiritual counseling
- Perform SHU (Special Housing Unit) pastoral visits as scheduled
- Coordinate with the Pastoral Care Director for special services and event support
- Submit weekly service reports and maintain accountability of performed duties
- Ensure all religious services align with Catholic liturgical standards and Army regulations Minimum Qualifications:
- Ordained Roman Catholic Priest in good standing
- Must be endorsed by the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience in pastoral ministry, preferably in military, prison, or clinical settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to minister in a pluralistic and secure environment
- Willingness to complete DoD Anti-Terrorism Level I Training, PREA, and local facility orientation
- Must pass a background check and security clearance screening to access MCC
