What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship - Wealth Management position at True North Advisors?
This isn’t just an internship, it’s your chance to dive headfirst into the world of wealth advisory, gain hands-on experience, and build lasting connections in the industry.
You will work alongside multiple teams at True North Advisors (wealth management, wealth planning, operations, trading, and investments). Our goal for you is to walk away with a full understanding of the wealth advisory space and be a valued member of the True North team for the summer. You will work on client projects, learn industry-specific technology, and be engrained in all things True North. We think of our internship as an incredible training program that hopefully leads to a full-time post-graduation opportunity. Opportunities will be available at both our Dallas and Fort Worth offices.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Junior or Senior standing in an accredited personal financial planning, accounting, economics, or finance undergraduate/graduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.4 (cumulative.)
- Ability to work 40 hours a week for 6 to 8 weeks during the Summer.
- Confident self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and believes in an approach to client service.
- Strong Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality when dealing with client matters.

- Must consent to and have a favorable credit report and background check.
