Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments using schematics and electrical testing to identify mechanical or electrical issues on heavy equipment, vehicles, and industrial machinery
- Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance
- Replace or repair transmissions, brakes, shocks & struts, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other critical parts
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of machinery with precision and safety in mind
- Conduct tire service, preventative maintenance, and perform heavy lifting to facilitate repairs efficiently
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer protocols and advanced diagnostics
- Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brake systems, HVAC components, and diesel engine repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards
