Duties
- Safely operate box trucks to deliver appliances to residential or commercial sites.
- Load and unload appliances using proper handling and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of appliances prior to delivery to verify condition and completeness.
- Execute precise route driving to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Unload appliances at customer locations, maneuvering heavy items through tight spaces with skillful moving techniques.
- Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications, including connecting water, gas, or electrical components when applicable.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining appliance features, and ensuring customer satisfaction during delivery and setup.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation of installed units, and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management, loading supplies for daily routes, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on appliance or heavy item delivery preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical strength and stamina are required for moving large appliances regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience with route driving in urban or suburban environments; excellent navigation skills are advantageous.
- Knowledge of appliance installation procedures is desirable but training will be provided for the right candidate.( will be trained)
