Worship Leader

True Life Christian Church is seeking a part-time Worship Leader. True Life Christian Church is a non-denominational church that is growing. We built a new building 5 years ago and have seen our attendance double to around 275 at the Sunday Gathering. We have a multi-generational congregation with more young families now attending. Our worship is mainly contemporary in style. We are looking for someone who can sing, play an instrument, and lead the existing worship team. Worship Leader Job Description

Responsible to:

The Worship Leader position is a part-time position. All staff positions report directly to the Senior Pastor and are accountable to the Elders of True Life Christian Church. The Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor will meet regularly for communication and oversight.

Personal

• They will be expected to be growing in the character laid out for church leadership in 1 Timothy 3.

• They are expected to care for his relationship with Christ through prayer, studying of God’s Word, and fellowship.

• They will take one day off a month to devote themself to prayer and vision.

Leadership

• The Worship Leader is expected be at the 2nd Elders Meeting each month.

• If able, they will attend Staff Meetings.

• Help with Pastoral visits when needed .

• Meet with Senior Pastor at least once a month to plan service orders.

• Meet at the end of each year for an evaluation with the Senior Pastor.

• *The direction of Worship Ministry for the upcoming year will be discussed with Senior Pastor and the Elders at the beginning of each fiscal year (August). At any point during the year a progress report may be requested by the Senior Pastor and Elders.

Responsibilities

• They will lead the Worship Ministry.

-Organize Sunday morning services.

-Lead weekly band practices and Sunday morning rehearsal.

-Cast and implement vision for Worship Ministry.

-Develop Praise Band, Sound Tech, and Computer Tech volunteers.

-Disciple the Worship Team through relationship, prayer, and biblical teaching.

-Leading the congregation into God’s presence through prayer and communicating God’s truth.

-Assist in tech support for sound board operators and musicians.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 6 – 10 per week

Work Location: In person
