Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non Medical Home Caregiver/Home Help to provide essential support to individuals in their homes and community settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and noting changes in condition; report findings to healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide medication reminders and support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards including HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice care, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and knowledge of patient observation techniques are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans; excellent communication skills required
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals’ independence and well-being
