Job

We are an agency looking for a direct care provider to work with a young man with disability. Assist with activities of daily living, bathing and home cleaning. $16 an hour.

Duties

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
• Assist clients in social interactions and community engagement to enhance their quality of life.
• Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff or healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the group home or care setting.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices for supporting individuals with disabilities, including first aid and emergency response protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, group home settings, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and HIPAA regulations is essential.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• A background in social work or nursing is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are critical for success in this role.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting the dignity and independence of individuals receiving care.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
