Small Animal Practice (Optional 1 Day/Week Livestock Only)
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing small animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who values high-quality medicine, teamwork, and a supportive environment.
What We Offer- Salary starting at $150,000 (commensurate with experience)

- Provide high-quality small animal medicine and surgery
- Perform preventive care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
- Optional: 1 day per week at our livestock sister clinic (no equine work)
Clinical Skills:
- Proficiency in small animal medicine and surgery
- Experience with soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventive care
- Comfortable with anesthesia and pain management
- Optional: experience with livestock medicine
Technical Skills:
- Strong physical exam and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to perform surgical procedures safely and efficiently
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with clients and staff
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to educate clients about pet health and treatment options
- Professionalism and reliability in a fast-paced environment
Other Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
- Adaptability to handle a variety of cases and duties
Required:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited school
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in CA
- Strong foundation in small animal medicine and surgery
- Ability to work full-time hours and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Preferred:
- Experience in general practice or small animal surgery
- Interest or experience in livestock medicine (optional 1 day/week)
- Experience with practice management software / EMRs
- Excellent client communication skills
- Previous experience in a team-oriented veterinary practice
