What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant position at True Blue Lending?
Licensed Loan Officer Assistant (NMLS) — Learn Under a 20-Year Mortgage Veteran
True Blue Lending Corporation | Commission-Based | Hybrid (On-Site Remote)
About the Role
True Blue Lending Corporation is seeking a licensed, NMLS-credentialed Loan Officer Assistant ready to build a real career in the mortgage industry. This is a hands-on apprenticeship opportunity: you will work directly under the mentorship of a 20 year mortgage industry veteran and learn the business from origination to close.
This is not a desk-bound, paper-pushing role. We want someone hungry, coachable, and ready to pick up the phone.
What You'll Do
- Call and qualify incoming leads
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and realtors
- Follow up with existing clients throughout the loan process
- Support pipeline management and keep deals moving
- Learn loan structuring, products, and processing from the ground up
- Whatever it takes to close loans and grow the book
What We're Looking For
- Active NMLS license required (this is non-negotiable)
- Strong phone presence and genuine comfort with outbound calling
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Coachable attitude and a real desire to learn the mortgage business
- Willing to come on-site as needed (not daily, but regular in-office presence is expected)
- Reliable, professional, and persistent
Compensation
This is a commission-based position. Your income is directly tied to your effort and results. For a motivated, licensed professional willing to put in the work, the earning potential is significant, and the mentorship you receive here is the real long-term payoff.
Why This Opportunity
You will not be handed a script and forgotten. You will learn directly from someone who has spent over two decades originating, structuring, and closing loans. The skills you build here set you up to become a top-producing loan officer in your own right.
