The HR Assistant will provide general support within the Human Resources Department. This detail-oriented role is responsible for supporting HR operations, employee onboarding, record-keeping with attention to employee file maintenance, compliance tracking, employee data entry and supporting payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with recruitment tasks including posting job openings and scheduling interviews
· Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities
· Maintain and update employee and contractor records in database and paper files
· Support benefits administration and respond to employee questions about policies
· Assist in tracking employee training, certifications, and compliance requirements
· Prepare employee documentation such as offer letters, contracts, and changes in status
· Help maintain timekeeping systems and assist with payroll preparation as needed
· Backup support for payroll processing
· Respond promptly to routine employment-related inquiries from employees and managers
· Support HR team with special projects, events, and employee engagement activities
· Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment laws
· Provide general administrative support to Human Resources including clerical support
· Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
· Minimum 1-3 years of general HR experience
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
· Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
· Payroll knowledge
· Experience in behavioral health preferred
· Current CPR/First Aid and current negative TB test
· Must be at least 18 years old
