This position is responsible for various general ledger accounting functions, financial statement preparation, account analysis and reconciliations, and assists in the preparation and maintenance of schedules for financial reporting.Responsibilities:Perform various AP functions including the day-to-day entry and processing of vendor bills, vendor account reconciliation, processing & coding of EFT and credit card transactions, employee reimbursements, and weekly check runCollect and maintain vendor and subcontractor account information, including W9 verification, and issue annual 1099-NEC/MISC statements Perform various AR functions including the day-to-day entry and processing of customer invoices, payments, and credits, set up and management of payment plans, facilitation of payments of invoices due by creating and sending statements and reminders, reconciliation of customer accounts and appropriate escalation of past due balances to managementPerform daily cash management duties including recording of bank deposits, posting cash receipts, and updating ledgersDemonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP in preparation and completion of assignmentsAbility to review, edit and intelligently discuss financial matters with supervisorsPerform all other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or universityMinimum 2 – 3 years AP/AR & General Ledger experience required (non-entry level)2 – 3 years behavioral health/healthcare accounting experience desiredExperience with ERP level accounting software preferredExperience with multiple entity/location/department accounting preferredSolid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and standardsProficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuiteCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationMust be at least 18 years oldCompetencies:Proactive and resourceful problem-solving and analytical skillsRegularly achieves personal and professional goals and exceeds expectationsAbility to manage/meet multiple deadlinesKnowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, Word and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collect and organize documents and digital files in an efficient and consistent mannerStrong work ethic, professional attitude, and attention to detail, and uncompromising accountability and integrity Ability to identify and communicate procedural gaps and inefficiencies, leading to new ideas/solutionsAbility to perform analysis, problem solving, decision making with complex or incomplete informationCommitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room.
