Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling menu items to enhance sales and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining cash handling security.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, properly storing ingredients, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Assist with food service tasks including bussing tables, serving guests, and supporting kitchen staff with food preparation when needed.
- Ensure sanitation standards are met through proper food handling, sanitation practices, and restaurant cleanliness routines.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Customer service background with the ability to upsell products and process retail sales transactions confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards within the food industry.
- Retail or grocery store experience can be beneficial for understanding inventory control and math skills related to sales processing.
