As a Custom Cabinet Installer/Finish Carpenter, your primary responsibility will be to install custom cabinets and complete various finish carpentry tasks. You will work closely with clients, interior designers, and other construction professionals to ensure high-quality installations and exceptional craftsmanship. Your role will involve interpreting blueprints and design plans, accurately measuring and cutting materials, and executing precise installations. Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of woodworking techniques are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Cabinet Installation: Install custom cabinets in residential and commercial settings according to design specifications and client requirements. Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and secure attachment to walls and floors.

Finish Carpentry: Perform various finish carpentry tasks, including trimming, molding installation, and decorative woodwork. Create smooth finishes, seamless joints, and precise cuts to enhance the aesthetics of the installed cabinets.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and ensure accurate installations. Collaborate with designers and architects to address any discrepancies or modifications required during the installation process.

Material Preparation: Select appropriate materials, including wood, hardware, and finishing products, for each project. Measure and cut materials accurately, taking into account dimensions, angles, and specific design requirements.

Precision Installation: Utilize specialized tools, such as saws, drills, routers, and pneumatic equipment, to install cabinets with precision. Ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of all cabinet components, including hinges, knobs, and drawer slides.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to ensure high-quality workmanship, adherence to design specifications, and customer satisfaction. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Properly handle and store tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.

Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with clients, designers, contractors, and other professionals involved in the construction process. Communicate project progress, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or questions from stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a custom cabinet installer and finish carpenter, preferably in both residential and commercial settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, design plans, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet installation procedures, including leveling, attachment, and adjustment.
  • Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail to create precise cuts, joints, and finishes.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges during installations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and construction professionals.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and operating power tools.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
