Custodian

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, to be thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial jobs.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the contracts manager, TruClean Custodians are responsible for general cleaning of properties assigned to them. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning of restrooms, dusting, sanitizing, as well as using carpet extractors, floor buffers for stripping and waxing, and well as general construction clean up.
Essential Functions:

• Vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping floors clean and disposing of dirt and trash collected
• Dusting surfaces clean

• Using Carpet extractor to wash and spot clean carpeted floors

• Using Floor scrubbers and burnishing machines

• Using sanitation equipment including spray, handheld electrostatic sprayers, and backpack sprayers.

• Follow site specific instructions around opening and closing facility assigned to
• Attends any required trainings

• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Completed Background check that satisfies company requirements
• Driver’s License w/ clean driving record
• Previous cleaning experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Sanitizing spaces for COVID-19, and other needed sanitation
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Use of machinery (Carpet extractors, burnishing machine, buffer)

• Standing and walking fore prolonged periods of time
• Twisting, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and other physical movements associated with commercial cleaning
