We're hiring an experienced Class A CDL Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver to handle heavy recovery, tractor-trailer tows, accident scene cleanup, and equipment transport.
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
Job description:
- Operate heavy-duty wreckers
- Tow and transport tractor-trailers, buses, RVs, box trucks, and heavy equipment
- Rig, winch, and stabilize loads safely using proper equipment and technique
- Set up scene safety and traffic control at accident sites
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and log deficiencies
- Document jobs accurately: paperwork, photos, and invoicing via [dispatch software]
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, law enforcement, DOT, and customers
- Maintain a clean, road-ready truck
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR
- [2] years heavy-duty wrecker/recovery experience
- Current DOT medical card
- 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong working knowledge of rigging, winching, and recovery techniques
- Professional demeanor with customers under stressful conditions
Preferred
- Air brake endorsement
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
