Position Overview: As a Commercial Insurance Sales Producer, you will help drive Truck Writers' growth by acquiring new clients and retaining existing business. This role requires a combination of prospecting, relationship management, and negotiation skills to deliver tailored insurance solutions to motor carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business by identifying and targeting ideal prospects through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to match coverage with client needs.
- Create and present detailed insurance quotes to prospects.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business goals.
- Track client and prospect interactions in our agency management system.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and partners.
Who We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance license preferred, or the ability to obtain within 30 days if not already licensed (paid for by company).
- Motivated, sociable, and competitive individuals eager to build a successful, long-term sales career.
- Previous experience in a sales environment that involves a full sales cycle, particularly in insurance or the trucking industry.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous with clients at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with a team in a professional manner on a daily basis.
- Strong ability to prioritize.
- Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure.
Compensation:
- Year 1: $60,000 base salary 40% commission (new & renewal business).
- Year 2: $30,000 base salary 40% commission (new & renewal business).
- Year 3 & Beyond: 100% commission on new and renewal business (40% commission).
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, in office. Full benefits available after 90 days.
