- Prospect and maintain customer relationships.
- Stay informed on market trends and customer needs.
- Develop strategies to secure orders.
- Utilize specifications program.
- Coordinate with internal departments (parts, service, finance/insurance, marketing).
- Handle customer complaints and follow up on all leads.
- Report on competitive activity.
- Stay updated on product offerings.
- Maintain records and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong product and industry knowledge (truck/heavy equipment sales preferred).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Proficiency w/ Microsoft suite of programs.
- High energy and a positive attitude.
- CDL required or ability to obtain.
- Experience in direct sales or related industries is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Motivation to succeed
- This position works both indoors and out, moving about the dealership and lot to communicate with managers, employees and customers.
- Part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, and filing.
- Extensive telephone and correspondence required on a daily basis.
- S/he must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel.
- Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Sales Representatives must travel in a vehicle to customer locations, which may require overnight stays and extensive driving.
