As a Shop Foreman at Truck Country, you'll be at the helm of the day-to-day operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the shop or service center.
Responsibilities:
- Assigning Priority: You'll need to prioritize vehicle Repair Orders and assign them to the appropriate Technicians.
- Workflow Management: Overseeing the flow of work in the shop to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
- Contract Repairs: Organizing external repairs when necessary, ensuring work is completed to standard.
- Quality Control: Inspecting completed work and associated documentation for accuracy and quality.
- Training and Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to new team members.
- Safety Compliance: Monitoring the workspace and staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Communication: Keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles and addressing any concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in Truck Service is preferred.
- Familiarity with Proceed or other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities and a professional demeanor.
- An AA degree, technical school degree, or 4 years of related experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Repair Order Processing.
