Truck Country is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and partnering with operations to drive financial success.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team
- Manage daily accounting operations and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting best practices
- Review fixed assets, sales tax filings, and inventory reconciliations
- Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and dealership accounting teams
- Help improve accounting systems, processes, and technology
- Oversee company fuel card program and manager bonus calculations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
- Leadership experience with a passion for developing others
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
