What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at TRUCCO INC?
A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that machinery and mechanical equipment operate efficiently and safely. They perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime in industrial, manufacturing, or facility environments.
· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure and extend lifespan.
· Electrical repairs/troubleshooting experience
· Install, adjust, and align new machinery and equipment.
· Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
· Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
· Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and perform corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of experience with a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus. Knowledge of Daumar, Sorma, Rev, Newtec, or Reisopack automated packing systems is a plus.
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments. Industrial or manufacturing setting.
· Exposure to noise, cold, and moving machinery.
· Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
