Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Winder to join our dedicated maintenance and repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise winding, rewinding, and repair of electric motors used across various industrial applications. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and longevity of electrical equipment, contributing to the reliability of power generation systems, heavy machinery, and other mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on equipment troubleshooting. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with complex electrical components while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Duties

  • Perform winding, rewinding, and repair of electric motors, generators, and related electrical equipment according to schematics and technical specifications.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems and mechanical components.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble motors ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized machinery to carry out precise electrical work.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, modifications, and testing procedures for each motor serviced.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on power generation systems, small engines, and heavy machinery to prevent future failures.
  • Assist in the testing of repaired equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to service.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities involving electrical work and heavy lifting.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently.
  • Support inventory management by ordering parts such as electrical components, mechanical parts, and replacement motors as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience in dealership or service technician roles specializing in electric motor repair or similar mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of schematics related to electrical wiring diagrams and motor configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, automotive repair, or heavy machinery maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering techniques, and small engine maintenance.
  • Knowledge of generator repair, power generation systems, and engine repair processes.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during heavy lifting operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.

This role is vital for maintaining the operational integrity of our electrical systems across various industries.
