Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Full-Time | Nights)

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift role at a Level IV Maternal Designated acute care hospital in the Texas Medical Center area. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with strong clinical support and long-term career growth.
Position Highlights

- Level IV Maternal Designated Facility
- 12 labor beds, 19 antepartum beds, 4 swing beds
- Approximately 400–450 deliveries per month
- High-acuity acute care setting with a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments throughout labor and delivery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate patient care
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and emergency obstetric situations
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered outcomes
- Serve as a preceptor, mentor, or resource to less experienced staff as needed
- Maintain compliance with Texas Board of Nursing, regulatory, and safety standards
Must Have Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or active multistate compact RN license, clear of disciplinary actions
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of acute care Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS certification
- Availability to work full-time night shifts exclusively
