We are looking for a knowledgeable 1099 technician who owns their own tools and vehicle, we offer 30 an hour plus travel. **Technician Requirements & Qualifications** We are seeking a **qualified technician** with the necessary tools, knowledge, and experience in **networking, structured cabling, digital signage, audio installation, and telephony**. Candidates must meet the following requirements: ### **Required Tools** You must supply tools. #### **General Tools for All Technicians**- Screwdrivers & Nut Drivers (Phillips, flathead, Torx, security bits)- Pliers (Needle-nose, diagonal cutters, slip-joint, channel lock)- Adjustable Wrenches (Standard & mini sizes)- Wire Strippers (For different gauge wires)- Hex Keys (Metric & SAE sets)- Utility Knife (Retractable for wire cutting & stripping)- Measuring Tape (25-50ft)- Label Maker (Dymo/Brother for proper cable labeling)- Sharpies & Pens (For marking and labeling)- Cable Ties & Velcro Straps (For cable management)- Tool Bag or Backpack (To keep everything organized)- Fiberglass Fish Tape & Poles (For pulling cable through walls and ceilings)- Stud Finder (For mounting equipment)- Small Parts Organizer (For screws, anchors, and connectors)- USB to Serial Adapter (For RS232 control of digital signage screens) #### **1. Network Engineer Tools (Including Low Voltage & Structured Cabling)**- Network Cable Tester (Fluke LinkIQ, NetAlly LinkRunner)- Tone and Probe Kit (Fluke IntelliTone Pro 200, Tempo 77HP)- RJ45 Crimping Tool (For Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7 cables)- Loopback Plugs (For network device testing)- Patch Panel Punch-Down Tool (110/66 type)- Cable Management Bars & Raceway Tools (For organizing network racks)- Ethernet Port Lock & Unlock Keys (For security & maintenance)- Power over Ethernet (PoE) Tester (To verify PoE switches & devices)- Cisco Console Cable #### **2. Digital Signage Technician Tools**- USB to Serial Adapter (For RS232 control of digital signage screens)- Crimping Tool for BNC & Coaxial Connectors- Hammer Drill & Drill Bits- Leveling Tools & Laser Level (For perfect display mounting)---#### **3. Audio Installation Technician Tools**- Impedance Meter (To check speaker wiring & resistance)- Soldering Iron & Soldering Kit (For repairing audio connectors)---#### **4. Telephony Technician Tools (For PBX, VoIP, and Analog Phone Systems)**- Butt Set (Telephone Test Set) (For testing analog phone lines)- DSL & Phone Line Tester (To check POTS lines and DSL filters)- RJ11 & RJ45 Crimping Tool (For terminating phone cables)- Telephone Punch-Down Tool (For 66/110 blocks)---### **Additional Equipment for All Technicians**- Laptop with Diagnostic Software (Wireshark, Putty, Tera Term, etc.)- Portable Label Printer (For proper cable identification)- Smartphone/Tablet---### **Specialty Tools for Large Jobs**- Drill with Masonry & Hole Saw Bits (For installing conduit & junction boxes)- Portable Scaffolding or Ladder (For high-reach installations) ### **Additional Requirements**Must have a **valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle**Clean **driving and criminal record**Must **pass random drug tests****Education level** will be asked**Letters of recommendation** preferredShould be within **reasonable distance of major metro areas**
