We are currently hiring local tax preparers for the 2026 tax season.
For the tax preparer position, you'll be responsible for preparing individual tax returns for taxpayers. You'll work for yourself as a partner under our company, however, you'll be able to organize your clients' taxes around your schedule.
We have a local ocompany; Stockbridge, GA, where you will be able to bring your clients who want a face-to-face meeting, but you are also able to work from home.
You are required to have a laptop and access to Wi-Fi. "Must be able to apply for PTIN (Preparer's Tax Identification Number) and/or renew your PTIN.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances.
- Use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients' taxes to a minimum.
- Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses.
- Compute taxes owed or overpaid, using calculators and/or personal computers, and complete entries on forms, following tax form instructions and tax tables
- Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion.
- Check data input or verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures.
- Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine procedures for the preparation of atypical returns.
- Calculate form preparation fees according to return complexity and processing time required.
- Answer questions and provide future tax planning to clients.
- Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
- Explain federal and state tax laws to individuals and companies.
- Follow up with clients after filing to ensure the IRS has everything needed to process their returns.

Pay: $500.00 - $4,000.00 per week
