Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator and Salesperson to join our commercial painting and reno construction team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for reviewing construction drawings, monitoring opprtunities in lead channels, networking, and creating estimates while actively engaging with clients to secure new projects. Your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and sales will drive growth and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend technical skills with customer relationship management, contributing directly to our company's success.
This is a commission based position with a base of $40K.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret detailed construction drawings and technical documents to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
- Develop comprehensive project estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Xactimate, ensuring precise pricing and cost control.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to review contracts, scope of work, and technical specifications for feasibility and accuracy.
- Lead client meetings to present estimates, discuss project scope, and negotiate terms that align with both client needs and company profitability goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator with a strong understanding of construction drawing review and interpretation.
- Proficiency in estimating construction project budgets using HeavyBid or similar software; experience with Bluebeam, Xactimate, and cost management tools is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of construction estimating processes including pricing strategies, material requirements from blueprints, and cost control techniques.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster positive client relationships.
- Hands-on construction site experience coupled with a thorough understanding of construction management practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
