Drywall Finisher

Core Responsibilities

• Apply joint compound (“mud”) to seams between drywall panels
• Tape over joints using paper or mesh tape
• Smooth and feather compound to create an even surface
• Sand dried compound to remove ridges or imperfections
• Fill holes, cracks, dents, and screw/nail indentations
• Apply multiple coats of compound as needed for a seamless finish being able to utilize 5 and 20 minute mud
• Match textures (e.g., orange peel, knockdown) to existing walls or ceilings
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality standards
• Be able to complete reasonable finish in shorter than ideal timeframes

Tools & Materials Used

• Taping knives, trowels, and mud pans
• Sanding blocks, pole sanders, or power sanders
• Joint compound, drywall tape

Skills & Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques and materials
• Physical stamina (standing, lifting, repetitive motion)
• Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding
• Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials
• Time management and ability to meet project deadlines

Work Environment

• Commercial construction sites

• We have one busy stretch of work 7/22-8/25 each year. we work 7/12s typically. Are you fully available for this once a year stretch?
