We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate master's level counselor (LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will share our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those struggling with substance use and mental health disorders.

Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (12:00 PM - 9:00 PM), Friday (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

Pay: Starting at $32.50/hour, higher rates may be available based on experience

Job Summary: As a full-time counselor at Tru Living Recovery, you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families while working within a supportive team dedicated to mental health excellence. You will provide counseling utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques, offer education, case management, discharge preparation, and support to clients. Additionally, you will collaborate with clinical and program staff members. Your compassion, empathy, and expertise will contribute to the overall well-being and success of clients in achieving lasting recovery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and interventions.
  • Complete insurance utilization reviews in a timely manner.
  • Provide weekly individual counseling sessions to address underlying issues, triggers, and challenges related to substance abuse.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on relapse prevention, coping skills development, and enhancing social support networks.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to support clients' recovery journeys.
  • Utilize assessment tools and outcome measures to track clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals and social workers to provide integrated care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must hold and maintain an active Idaho licensure (LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT) at hire, and for the entire duration of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation and client communication.
  • Understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements in addiction treatment and counseling.
  • Possesses physical and mental health that is adequate to perform job duties.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport, engage clients, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based counseling techniques.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and managing Electronic Health Records.
  • Compassion, empathy, and non-judgmental attitude in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must hold strong personal boundaries with clients
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Must pass an enhanced background check
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be a team player and able to work under supervision
