We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant to provide daily living support to our disabled elders. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments. The ideal candidate will be respectful, reliable, and experienced in caregiving, particularly for individuals with physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Transport to and from medical appointments or errands
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in personal care or healthcare preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Respect for privacy, dignity, and veteran-specific needs
